Timeless principles from Proverbs 21:5
Proverbs 21:5 (NIV) The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. When it comes to studying God's Word and how it relates to our finances today, the book of Proverbs provides a "wealth" of information (pun intended). Much of my teaching on Biblical finances references Solomon's advice over and over again - and with good reason. Solomon is a great person to learn from when it comes to finances for many reasons. First, he was the wisest man who ever lived, blessed by God with great understanding. It is good advice to learn from our elders and forefathers rather than to make mistakes and learn the hard way. People who have experienced life and have achieved a great understanding of this world are a blessing to those willing to listen! |
